Forthcoming Memoir

A Pilgrimage to Remember

A spiritual memoir about heartbreak, healing, initiation, and the journey inward.

A Pilgrimage to Remember cover with mountain, spiral, and Ganesha

After the end of a decade-long relationship, a young man leaves behind the life he thought he understood and travels to the jungles of Costa Rica in search of healing.

What begins as a response to heartbreak becomes a deeper spiritual pilgrimage. Through healing rites, ritual, reflection, and plant medicine ceremonies, he is brought into direct confrontation with grief, attachment, identity, desire, and the parts of himself that had long remained unexamined.

Set against the intensity and beauty of the journey, A Pilgrimage to Remember follows the unraveling of one identity and the slow emergence of another. Along the way, questions of love, masculinity, spirituality, memory, purpose, and self-worth begin to take on new meaning.

The journey does not offer easy answers or a simple promise of transformation. Instead, it asks what happens when the life we built no longer holds, when the stories we relied on begin to fall away, and when healing requires us to turn toward the parts of ourselves we would rather avoid.

Part memoir, part spiritual inquiry, and part account of initiation, A Pilgrimage to Remember is a story about heartbreak becoming a threshold—and about travelling far from home only to discover that the most difficult journey is the one inward.

Heartbreak becomes initiation.
